Now this is a good idea as Ejifior was one of the better parts of the movie but Disney wants to focus on just nostalgia and doesn’t have the stones to try something like that.

They didn't even do that correctly. Making Lion King a drama like film felt weird. Again I liked it but the concern versus the original and it not living up to the high standard of Aladdin is completely warranted.

 

Make this film fluffy and more whimsical it probably does 750 domestically.

Also, this IS a known quality and it's not like there will be a rush to see it to avoid spoilers.  There is a decent argument to be made that this doesn't have a rush factor at all.  Frankly we don't know what the legs of this film will be yet nor how the GA will react.

 

Plenty of time for this film to rake in silly amounts of cash.
