Yeah, knowing me I'll eat this right up. Hopefully it indeed is another The Revenant at the box office!

I doubt it'll make that much $$$. That had DiCaprio in it and was advertised as the role that'll finally give him the Oscar.

Nah, that sounds like another Solo. People love Kylo, but enough for his own film series. IDK. Maybe a Disney+ spinoff.

Honestly though, I would not be surprised if Disney tries to bring him over to Marvel, especially now that Feige is working on a SW film.

He'd be a great Sandman for that Netflix show, but he might be too high profile

get Harvey Keitel and Keith Carradine for supporting roles. as a Duellists fan I want to be pandered to

Right behind you, guy. I love the "Duellists".

And for all the film versions of "War and Peace" I think the retreat from Moscow scenes in that film are the best portrayal of what that retreat must been like.

I don't know what to think of this movie tbh. it's a weird subject for Disney to tackle and it defintiely isn't Gladiator type od spectacle considering the subject. also, as others mentioned, Scott is hit and miss. could be Gladiator type of success , could be Gods&Kings type of disaster, could be something in between. Damon wouldn't suffer in the last 2 scenarios, but what about Comer and Driver?

P.S. perosnal pet peeve, Damon is old enough to be Comer's father and yet they play husband and wife. ok, maybe real couple had that age difference but it's still a big Hollywood cliche.

I don't wish anything ill upon this movie (great director, great cast, what's not to like) but medieval genre hasn't been a hit unless combined with fantasy. Look at this list of fantasy-free medieval flops:

Outlaw (even Chris's pine couldn't save it)

Robin Hood with Taron

King Arthur with Hunnam

Scott's own Kingdom of Heaven

I'm sure there's more. Point being, nothing recent (first 3 on my list) was a hit. In fact, they were bombs. OTOH, Medieval Fantasy is thriving on TV/streaming (GOT, The Witcher) and movies of course had the best cinema ever, LOTR. So I dunno.

with that release date i think whether it's a hit entirely depends on whether it does well with awards or not.

bradley cooper was the last one i think. silver linings playbook/american hustle/american sniper back to back.

The Hustle nom is so weird, his performance in that film was so very strange. I get Sniper since it was a body transformation and Playbook was him playing a man with a mental illness, both Oscar baity properties, but in Hustle he was just ad-libbing for two hours
