It helped, but definitely does not account for the majority of the overseas difference. 

Homecoming international was 545 million, while Far From Home will be possibly pushing 760 million after this weekend's good hold. 
That's a 215 million difference. There were a lot of other International territories that increased a lot with FFH comparatively to Homecoming. 

Even domestic, with some nice late legs could hit 380-400 million which in itself is a nice increase, just not the 400 million that most of us were hoping for.

What a spectacular run, especially considering how most people expect this to be unnecessary and drop considerable from TS3

I wonder how high can TS4 go. Will it surpass TS3 1.067? that's 150M away ... seems far, but 50 extra dom can be doable, and 100 os after a 19M weekend (or a 38M week mon-sun) ... could happen.

It still has one large market (Germany) and a handful of other smaller European markets to open through August. That will help a lot as well. 

Plus, it's doing well in Japan which is a leggy market, which should help it's legs somewhat. 
50 million more domestic seems like a bit of a tall order, but a Labour Day re-release could get it there. 

 

I'd say about a 50/50 shot at this point for beating Toy Story 3 WW
