Family or family drawing films almost always have the best increases, at least the last year or so. Hollywood is fine, both first Tuesday, 70mm and special formats goosing the price keeps the Tuesday increase down. Hopefully Wednesday isnt horrid but its definitely on track for the 17-18m weekend. I won't try to claim it's the greatest horror of all time or anything, but it was effective, atmospheric, and well-acted. Indeed, this was NEVER going to have a big Tuesday jump. Tuesdays definitely have different effects on different movies. Adult movies have smaller jumps. Premium format movies have smaller jumps. Conjuring movies have been consistent and they are good. Unlike Anabelle only one movie is good not that much.
