How does TLJ compare to TFA & R1 in terms of pound sterling?

Edit: Just checked myself (not hard to find)

TFA: 123.2M

RO1:  66.0M

TLJ:  80M+

So, in relative terms, TLJ has done better than in other country? I guess so.

$7.1m for Coco, £5.1m. Bit lower than expected, made $4.6m this weekend.

It'll thrive during half term, much as I want Early Man to do well, it's not in the same league.

What’s The Post made? Such a great movie.

Hopefully over £2m. Will be interesting which will be the higher grossing Spielberg movie between The Post and Ready Player One, the latter opens on Good Friday and there's no competition until Rampage.

What an embarrassment that three of the nine movies up for Best Picture haven’t even been released over here yet.

Including a movie nominated for THIRTEEN Academy Awards. It’s like we’re back in the dark ages.

We need new rules in place that major award contenders get released before Oscar nomination day.

Even if it’s limited.

Boxing Day should be our equivalent of what Xmas day is in the states for releases. It’s just not good enough.

I guess but for films that the general public aren't really aware of like a lot of oscar films, the oscar nominations raise a lot of awareness so releasing them around this time or in February means they can be more commercially successful.

Meh. it means we get a much more even spread of films, from November to February, whereas the US just has them to December. Then in January they have to put up with just having Liam Neeson action movies and nothing else. :D

First time there's been 8 films above £1m since January 2015.

Coco should be be able to make it into the mid 20s with half term coming up in a couple of weeks.

Darkest Hour is well on its way to £20m+, probably nearer £25m is where it'll end up if it sustains strong holds, and Three Billboards should get past the £10m mark quite easily. A BP win would give it a nice boost.

Good opening for The Post, if should too have long legs.

The Greatest Showman is unbelievable. Looks like it'll fly by £20m at this rate.

Jumanji also looks like it'll pass £35m quite comfortably.

Very strong start to the year so far, and this weekend should be another good one.

It’s true. We do have a great couple of months. I’d just like the big ones to have been available by nomination day.

Usually they are. This year though - some huge ones we’re still waiting for.

Nothing worse than us getting movies AFTER they’ve been available on screener download for weeks.

I have to come into work and hear people talking about films they’ve watched online that I haven’t even seen yet. Just the worst.

Nothing better you mean. Oscar season is great as all the award movies usually end up on kodi for us to see early. Good copies too
