Including a movie nominated for THIRTEEN Academy Awards. It’s like we’re back in the dark ages. We need new rules in place that major award contenders get released before Oscar nomination day. I guess but for films that the general public aren't really aware of like a lot of oscar films, the oscar nominations raise a lot of awareness so releasing them around this time or in February means they can be more commercially successful. Then in January they have to put up with just having Liam Neeson action movies and nothing else. Coco should be be able to make it into the mid 20s with half term coming up in a couple of weeks. Darkest Hour is well on its way to £20m+, probably nearer £25m is where it'll end up if it sustains strong holds, and Three Billboards should get past the £10m mark quite easily. A BP win would give it a nice boost. Good opening for The Post, if should too have long legs. The Greatest Showman is unbelievable. Looks like it'll fly by £20m at this rate. Jumanji also looks like it'll pass £35m quite comfortably. I’d just like the big ones to have been available by nomination day. Usually they are. This year though - some huge ones we’re still waiting for.
