I imagine Rocketman will have better weekdays once half term is over.

But down here it’s been an amazing day, plus it’s also the champions league final today with two English teams so that will also have an impact. Finnick
@Heretic @Olive or anyone with knowledge about the UK boxoffice, how come SLOP2 managed to have $14.4M cum in week2 after a $4.2M start? It just almost quadruple its first weekend gross!! Is that possible? Edited June 2, 2019 by Finnick

Looks like it’ll have a very leggy run. 1

It'll affect Aladdin in a similar way.
SchumacherFTW
I dread to think how bad this weekend was, the last two days have been crazy hot. Ridiculously humid though.

Rest of country was pretty standard weather by looks of it. Edited June 2, 2019 by Heretic

Nice, but not really hot enough to stop people going to the cinema. Nowhere near last years extended period of scorching summer temperatures. Jonwo
Aladdin and SLOP2 are unlucky that Toy Story 4 is coming in June as it means they can't have a leggy run. I think Aladdin will likely get to £30-35m and SLOP2 £16-20m.

It did not decrease 70%. slop2 opened to £3.5m. First one had one preview weekend of £3.6m then weekend of £5.9m. although... worth saying that the first slop was still doing £3.6m in its fourth weekend, compared to the £3.5m opening of flop2. Lmao. As for numbers this weekend you'll need to wait a bit to get official box office numbers. Sadly we dont have the luxury of chart breakdowns at the end of the weekend like other countries do. Heretic
Aladdin only dropped 15% this weekend (£4.9m) despite some amazing weather. Pretty incredible run so far after a slow-ish start. It’s gained a lot of traction and should easily top £30m.
