Krissykins
There is officially nothing on for adults at my local Cineworld. Definitely catering only to families this Christmas. Star Wars, Pitch Perfect, Jumanji, Ferdinand, Daddy’s Home 2 and Paddington 2.
Heretic
TLD is up to $67.4m as of Sunday (£50.5m), which means a second weekend of just below £10m and a drop of just over 50% from the 3-day. It would have had a very big fall today due to Christmas Eve and tomorrow cinemas are closed. I expect by the 2nd January when work resumes for most people, TLJ should be close to the £70m mark. Most schools are still on holiday until the 8th so it should maintain large weekday business until then. A total of around £85m ($115m) seems reasonable right now. Still huge, and very impressive but not quite the monster TFA was. Although no one expected a repeat of that. Heretic
Huge Wednesday for TLJ, $4.9m for a total of $75.8m. Hopefully it's close to $80m going into the long weekend. After Monday, it should comfortably be past $90m, and will probably hit $100m some time late next week. 1

Porthos
How's TLJ playing in the UK, BTW? Both at a box office and punter reaction? I know that it won't sniff TFA, but no one expected it to. But how's it doing via expectations is more or less what I'm wondering.

Here it is then: Its doing gooooooooood and is performing close to TFA if im not mistaken. Wont match it but not as far behind as US edit. Heretic
TLJ is up to $80.6m now, so might even be nearer $95m after the 4 day weekend. Jumaniji is pulling in good numbers too. From deadline: Highlights from this week include the UK adding $2.3M on Thursday (its best day which falls in the 2nd week of play). The cume there is $17m. Looks like it will be doing north of $30m. Pirates 5 actually had good legs considering it had a low OW, same with Wonder Woman. The biggest surprise of this year wasn't Dunkirk but IT, who'd thought a horror film would outgross Spider-Man and Thor. I disagree. Hype for it was huge whereas dunkirk despite being UK centric was a big surprise and gad great legs
wildphantom
Yeah, Dunkirk being that huge over here was a massive surprise. Pleasant one. IT’s performance round the world was astonishing.
