Heretic
What total do you expect about TDKR?It could beat The Avengers in the UK. Ultimately they'll probably end up very close. Somewhere in the $80-90m range.
Fullbuster
It could beat The Avengers in the UK. Ultimately they'll probably end up very close. Somewhere in the $80-90m range. That would be great for a 2D movie.
Heretic
Ticket sales today have literally skyrocketed.Showtimes for tomorrow night are virtually all full. I reckon it'll sellout nearly every single one of the 30 showtimes at my cinema tomorrow.

SchumacherFTW
Just turned up at the BFI IMAX, it's looking busy already. We got the midnight IMAX posters free as well :-)

lukey
Just got back from seeing it at a 9am screening in the suburbs. 60%-70% full and ripple of applause at the end. And the movie was amazing. Edited July 20, 2012 by lukey
Heretic
Nice! It's only 1:30pm at the moment, but show times so far today have been absolutely packed, and that will obviously continue all day and well on into the late hours of the night. lukey
And they also showed the Man of Steel teaser trailer, which was a surprise. I don't think I ever seen a trailer debut in a cinema at the same time as America.

lukey
The teaser trailer didn't really work for me. It was a shortened version of the Comic-Con footage but without the best parts. I thought the Comic-Con trailer looked good. I felt like the trailer needed just one iconic shot of Superman instead we got a fairly generic one of him flying through the clouds. PhilipJ2001
yeah i thought the man of steel trailer was a bit dull.did you get the gangster squad trailer? we've been asked to remove that trailer from all films in the light of that shooting at the midnight show in america. if you look at the scene 2 minutes in you can see why https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGK0ysEPHxI
lukey
We didn't get that trailer. Apart from Man Of Steel most of the trailers were for kids/animated movies oddly. A Bourne Or Skyfall trailer wouldn't have gone a miss.
Heretic
Every single showing at the Glasgow cineworld up until 11pm is sold out, with a 12:10am showing sold out too.
A Marvel Fanboy
10M OD possible ?
Heretic
I think only DH2 has done that, so I'm not too sure. We don't really get much OD data for the UK for some reason.Maybe around $8m. Tomorrow will be even bigger than today as some school had their last day today.
Jonwo
I imagine Man of Steel will have a longer trailer attached to the Hobbit in the same way The Dark Knight Rises was with Sherlock Holmes,
