Heretic
That's probably correct then. Must be a typo on Screendaily's behalf.
Heretic
Finally, it seems we'll be getting some hot weather next week in time for the Olympics.I hope this doesn't effect the BO, but I think it's rather inevitable. We haven't had any good weather thus far this summer...
JCS
Seems TDKR is on track to meet most people's predictions then. (£15-16M OW).
Heretic
I thought it could get into the £17m's, but still, the number is fantastic.Hopefully it can beat the Avengers too.
Jonwo
Avengers £15.8m was for four days so it will be still impressive for The Dark Knight Rises to do £15-16m especially as it's only has IMAX rather than 3D. It'll be the highest grossing three day opener of 2012 at least until Skyfall.
Heretic
Skyfall will do very similar number to TDKR I think. Probably within £1m of each other. Not sure how the Hobbit will do. But I imagine it'll also have a huge opening. Nearer Christmas though, BO is more spread out through the holidays.
Jonwo
Not sure how the Hobbit will do. But I imagine it'll also have a huge opening. Nearer Christmas though, BO is more spread out through the holidays.I'm sure The Hobbit will be big, there hasn't really a big December film since Avatar although Sherlock Holmes and Mission Impossible were successful. Return of the King had a £15m five day opener back in 2003 so if the Hobbit can come close to that, it'll definetly have legs should the WOM and reviews be good. Heretic
I'm expecting a monstrous run. Possibly enough to beat out TS3 for 2nd of all time.

The Dark Alfred
Saturday is stronger than Friday for sure.
PhilipJ2001
yeah Saturday is up at my cinema. Over the two days it's about 25% more than we did on Avengers but that did have the Thursday preview as well to soften the weekend a little bit. Avengers did have a very strong Sunday hold here though so we'll see how TDKR does tomorrow.
Heretic
Could be over £11m in 2 days it seems. I'm sure Sunday day business will be very strong, but night time will be down on today and Friday. Not massively though, I don't think. RthDeadWov
TDKr 2 day is going to end up not to far behind TA's 1st 3 days
Heretic
Thanks. That's pretty amazing. And The Avengers had 3D.Do you know roughly what that would be in pounds?
John Marston
this is excellent. Also, the fact this is happening in the UK, a developed market should really shut up those morons on the main board saying that "TDKR had way less interest than TDK that is why it is underperforming and not because of the shooting" as a reason for it flailing domestically
Darth Homer
Good opening for TDKR. I don't see it beating TA's total, though. The Olympics will hurt cinema attendance more than people are expecting, I think.
Olive
TA's 3day was a little more than 11M GBP.So TDKR should have a 16-17M GBP OW.
A Marvel Fanboy
I think 100M here is locked for DKR.
MrPink
I think 100M here is locked for DKR.Don't think we can come to that conclusion until next weekend at minimum. Gotta see how the Olympics affects things
Olive
100M needs nearly 4x multiplier.
