It shouldn't lose theatres, it only had one screen at most anyway. It'll probably make it to about $7-8m or so, the market is too crowded for much more, but that'd be a pretty good total nevertheless. Jonwo
Interesting that Sing despite being number 1 only has three entries in the top 15. According to Deadline, it was third on Friday but jumped to number 1 on Saturday and Sunday Edited January 31, 2017 by Jonwo
Jonwo
Lego Batman has a lot of showtimes for previews this weekend, more than Sing did. It'll be interesting how it does given Sing will be doing well on weekends. Beauty and the Beast has gone on sale, wonder if it can come close to what The Jungle Book did on its opening weekend
SchumacherFTW
La La Land looks to be expanding to IMAX in Cineworld at least from Friday, getting more Saturday and Sunday shows than Resident Evil from what I can see.

I assume it's sharing IMAX with Lego Batman on Saturday and Sundays. I'm surprised La La Land didn't go to IMAX sooner. 22 minutes ago, Heretic said: Beauty and the Beast is doing £50m+ I could see it happening, it wouldn't surprise me if it dominates until Fast 8 comes out

Resi is having a more limited release than the franchise is used to, same as Underworld last month. Will probably do around £1m this weekend. Lego Batman seems to be okay in presales but I would guess it'll benefit from walk ins, Sing is doing very well and I imagine Lego Batman will benefit from spillover if Sing has sold out showings and vice versa, it's in a lot more formats like 4DX and IMAX whereas Sing is 3D and 2D. There's local holidays coming in just over a week so I would imagine families will wait until then to see Lego Batman then rather than this weekend.
Heretic
Lego Man seems to be doing Good business, but not on the level of Sing during its previews. Sing looks busier still around my area. As for Logan, I expect it to do quite well, probably better than the more recent X-Men movies. I think the adult rating will help it, like it did for Deadpool. As I said in Lego Batman thread, there was very little sell outs today for the 14 showtimes. Although it has now sold out the 3pm showing. The larger SuperScreen rooms are basically empty. PhilipJ2001
Yeah we're OK on Lego Batman but not fantastic. About half of the Sing previews.

Thats still pretty solid for Lego Batman, that would be £2.1m for previews if it translates nationally and it still has half term coming up. Sing has probably taken the wind a little out of Lego Batman as well.
Krissykins
Yeh, Sing had more sellouts than Batman yesterday. My showing was about 50% full, huge screen room.
Jonwo
According to Ian Sandwell, Sing retains number 1 with £3.8m with £14.6m total which is around a 40% drop excluding previews so it looks Lego Batman did dent it.
