So for Pirates 5 to gross $40m it needs to barely drop from previous film. Is that even possible? £32.9m. Pirates 5 will likely gross in the high 20s. £28m would be $36.5m. $40m is probably the upper limit right now.

And pre-sales today are looking weak again, the weather is too good for the cinema. Edited May 26, 2017 by Heretic
Heretic
I'm gonna say £5m 4 day, and around £7m 5-day. Box office should improve as the weekend progresses as it looks to cool down come Sunday/Monday with thunderstorms. It might have stronger weekdays due to school holidays and people who have waited till the good weather passes to go to the cinema. One thing is for sure though, it's going to have a big $ drop from OST.
keysersoze123
That would mean around £20m finish for pirates.
Heretic
Just checked my local cinema. Only 44 people in the 8pm show. Quite pathetic really for a blockbuster on a Friday night. The sun has obliterated Pirates.

Heretic
Wow, £4.8m for Pirates. Really awful. Weather obviously had a HUGE impact, but fatigue is certainly a factor too with an opening this bad. No one showed up.

Will be interesting how Baywatch does, the reviews have been awful but I think it should decently.

John Marston
pretty shitty for Pirates but if weather affected maybe it can hold really good like Men in Black 3 and Prince of Persia did

The forecast this week in London looks quite warm and sunny still, so BO will probably suffer more. But half term should give it a least a little boost.
