Not to mentioned it's a sequel to a much loved first film. The marketing is there for Justice League, I don't think I gone anywhere without seeing at least a couple of posters. My guess as I mentioned is that people are waiting for reviews and reactions before they book and I think we'll see an uptick as the week progresses. Maybe £7-8m opening, and with the amazing reviews, it could leg its way to £35m+ over the Christmas period. around 8 mark, OE off around 12%,Thor around off 33,BM2 holding extremely well 4 3
Heretic
Wow. Massive for Paddington and that hold is incredible for OE! Great hold for Thor 2 aswell. Very strong weekend all around.

Heretic
I wouldn't be surprised with sub £10m for JL. Interested to see what Paddington's drop will be, doubt it's more than 30%, could even be nearer 20%. SchumacherFTW
My midnight IMAX screening hasn't even reached half full yet. There's definitely not even as much buzz as Thor had 3 weeks ago.

For a stand-alone superhero film, Wonder Woman didn't do "awful" here in the UK. It was number 1 for 3 weeks and in it's 4th weekend had a 16% drop. It had a 3.53x multiplier. In Australia it had a 4.78x multiplier. Edited November 16, 2017 by Krissykins

But UK and Australia usually have some connection with USA market (except some examples like Fantastic Beasts, Thor3 (director from Oceania, etc.)). And in the WW case, UK box-office seems low. That's how I see the situation.

Gamb1993
I know my local Vue won’t be particularly representative, but normally the biggest screen is at least half-full for most midnight showings, even relatively smaller films do alright. There are currently 8 people other than me here. Not great.
SchumacherFTW
At most my IMAX screening reached half full. Hope it gets some legs as it's good fun.
Heretic
Sales have definitely picked up, it looks like JL is having pretty good walk up business and tonight looks pretty strong. Still not certain about £10m though but it isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Hopefully Rth can provide some numbers later Edited November 17, 2017 by Heretic

wildphantom
Thanks Rth A massively disappointing weekend for JL. Yet getting what it deserves imo.
Heretic
Paddington has lots of sell outs again. It's way busier than JL at the cinemas around me this afternoon. Night time business will obviously be higher for JL but I really don't think the difference between them today will be that big at all... Olive
In the UK, the Justice League also topped Wonder Woman and Thor with an estimated $3.3M (£2.5M) on 1,617 screens http://deadline.com/2017/11/justice-league-opening-results-international-box-office-1202209607/
