Universal reported just $2.786M in their F9 report but actuals are $4M. Great hold. Just -40%. So with England winning key match on SAT yet almost every hold was great this weekend. How? Any new chain reopened?

Lol, are you here for the box office or the football?

@charlie Jatinder maybe really rainy weather helped, in Scotland at least. Every chain is open now. Impressive that numbers were good considering big views for the football thing

I only like international football, and even then Im used to us doing shit

Hopefully this at least makes Universal if no one else consider releasing films during football tournaments in the future. They can clearly still make money around the England games.

They learned that last time, they released Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom early here before the 2018 World Cup and it cleaned up as the only game in town

£4m for the weekend and £11m total? That would mean weekdays last week totalled just £1m?

Not really, for a Wednesday when 16.9m were watching the football.

Plus, F9’s was £1.18m and did that translate to a $11.8m OD?

The x10 rule is usually quite accurate for UK box office. 60% of the time, it works every time. You will have to go very far back in Marvels catalogue of films to find an OD smaller than that so it's definitely disappointing

So Euro took away 1.5m+ away in UK considering 10x rule, as US OD will be 27+. 40+ including previews.
