think Friday just under £2m and Saturday just over £2m. again though my figures are partial and i have to extrapolate totals

looking at it actually i didn't realise black widow did £6.9m 5 day so it won't hit that (I don't think), but should easily beat the 3 day of £4.6m

According to ERC, the film took in around £5.5M in its opening weekend, which would make it the biggest opening in the UK of the Pandemic era.

Edit: It should also be noted that these are estimates of course.

Nearly £6m for Shang-Chi is impressive, don't think it's the highest for September as the IT films and Bridget Jones's Baby did higher numbers but still impressive.

I wonder if Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be moved up like in the US or will it keep its mid October release date. It's going to lose the PLFs to Bond either way so might have well take advantage.

Top 5 over 8M GBP. I think NTTD should open 10-15M GBP.

Bond numbers will give us an idea of how bad cinemas are effected. I'd love to see a surprise 20m opening

20m will be tough given the ongoing capacity restrictions. It would need every screen in the country like Spectre, and probably an increase in ticket prices

Huh, looks like I was right about the last point. My local cineworld normally charges £9 for Thursday 2D shows. For NTTD those are £15

The cinema I go to has 33 showings on Thursday (including 4 midnight shows) with the film being shown basically every 20 minutes. It has 8 screens out of 12.

I think this one is so difficult to predict because we don't have anything that has opened like this since the start of the Pandemic.
