Next weekend could be just as boring. Many Saints of Newark is getting 3 showings. Cineworld isn’t even showing The Green Knight.

 

There’s an Oasis concert, Ballad of Billy McCrae (?) and the LOTR films. The calm before the Bond storm.

Capacity limits seem to have been removed pretty much because of this film’s imminent release, Cineworld lifted capacity limits when they put NTTD on sale. I doubt it hits it’s pre-pandemic potential because I’m sure there’s still wary people out there who might not feel safe in a cinema still, but it’s still going to be a monster and easily win the year in the UK.

 

Also, don’t forget that Spectre’s “opening weekend” was a ludicrous 7 days, so while it was still impressive, it’s not exactly an opening “weekend”.
