Right in the middle then of what I expected. Around $10m. Something like this may be possible then: Wed £7.6m Thu £4m Fri £5.5m Sat £7m Sun £6m £30.1m 5 day. Probably going to be a close one for the £30m mark. $40M OW ?

It had a lot of very late night shows, some past midnight that were still very busy. Seems early to think that all locs are reported at this point. The limited numbers I saw, won't be surprised with 8+.

I expect today will drop 40-50%, but given it’s Spider-Man, it should still play very well with kids and families so I’d expect the weekend to be very strong. Issac Newton
Legs like NTTD is impossible. I believe more like £70M finals, although anything above that will still be great 👍
ThomasNicole
This doing such huge numbers despite restrictions and +80k cases of Omicron per day on UK kinda proof that people will show up no matter what for movies that they want to see. Bodes well for next year blockbusters, movies like Batman and DS2 could be huge even with a bad environment.

Then again it might be even more front loaded than usual due to people being worried they won’t be able to see it in a week or two if they’re isolating. legs you’d think will be good if people are having to isolate short term. Especially with nothing coming out to challenge it as competition for the foreseeable.

It would depend what the restrictions are I guess. Omicron certainly didn’t stop anyone going yesterday by the look of it. I’d imagine yesterdays audience would be guaranteed to enjoy it. That’s why WOM amongst die hard fans is good. I doubt WOM alone for “Spider-Man 8” will bring in any new fans.
wildphantom
Far From Home did £14.1 million in a 6 day opening from July 2-7 in 2019. That we’ve done half of that on a mid-week Wednesday gives you an idea of how much bigger this movie is than your average Spidey. and in the midst of omicron mania.
