Countdown will begin on Tuesday October 1st, sometime in the evening East Coast Time, USA.

Which means it will start sometime in the early morning on October 2nd for Europeans. 👀

Does this mean the deadline to submit lists is also extended?

watch 5.5 hours of Apocalypse Now (1979) and think about Star Wars at the top of this list, and think about movies in the 1970s and how star wars brought up Star Wars.

that would probably take 200 movies, I couldn't get to 50 by due date

first viewing of Apocalypse Now,

I will try to bury Apocalypse Now as much as possible on the list because of Charlie Sheen's influence and pushing a good attitude with Two and a Half Men.  Francis Ford who?

Vietnam should have a new class.  They are just bolted right into history.  film history of the 1970s was saying America was weak, someone was scared.

Can you guys send me a list of ten films you'd like me to do a write up for?

If these ones make the list, I'd be happy to help out:

JAWS

Rocky

Texas Chainsaw

Apocalypse Now

Deer Hunter

Last House on the Left

Straw Dogs

Monty Python Holy grail

Towering Inferno

Poseidon Adventure

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Star Wars
