baumer
And again obviously this is because I'm ancient compared to most of the members here oh, except for tele of course LOL, but I'm very very excited and I'm glad that the 1970s is being tackled.
baumer
Something I am curious about is that I'm wondering if people will put classic movies on their list, like the godfather's or The Exorcist, even though they might not have seen them. I really hope that is not the case. I hope these lists are honest and if you have not seen a movie don't put it on your list.
cannastop
Just a reminder that Hayao MIyazaki made a feature in the 1970s, if you want to vote for it. Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro

I don't think someone who hasn't seen The Godfather or The Exorcist would want to vote in a list like this. Though I have heard of a certain someone who lied about seeing an old movie once. If you are I don't recall that particular conversation or what movie I would have lied about. Or is it someone else you were speaking of?

It's your list and all but I don't know why you'd wanna reward people who can only come up with a 10-movie list for the whole damn decade. That doesn't even qualify as surface-level knowledge. You could quite easily have watched 50+ films from 1970s and only come up with a 10 movie list. 10 minutes ago, baumer said: Hmmm who would that be? It's not even that important, your comment just reminded me of something I saw a few years ago. Edited August 20, 2019 by cannastop

terrestrial
Okay, that's my list I'll have to pick from my top 100. I've seen far more, as that was my teenage decade It includes movies that I wont consider really good, but includes something special enough I will think about them for this ranking or I still think about them if a reason appears / happens. Also added a few titles then considered as a 'must see', I think I added a hint with all of them (friends), a few of those I did not finish. The other hints are for e.g. myself, sometimes the title is so far away from the German version or the movie's story I need a little help to remember which title belongs to which movie. I alphabetic order to not influence someone unconsciously = its meant as a help to remember, as often people might have watched them on TV and simply for the moment not remember = saves maybe time Quote 220 examples of the '70: ...and justice for all 007 - Diamonds are Forever 007 - Live and Let Die 007 - Moonraker 007 - The Man with the Golden Gun 007 - The Spy Who Loved Me 10 Rillington Place 1900 1941 3 Women A Bridge Too Far (Arnheim) A Clockwork Orange A Fistful of Dynamite aka Duck, You Sucker aka Giù la testa A Man Called Horse A Special Day aka Una giornata particolare A Woman Under the Influence Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore Alien All the President's Men American Graffiti And Now for Something Completely Different Apocalypse Now The Aristocats (nephew) Assault on Precinct 13 Avanti!
