And the only movies that honestly have a chance to fall into the 200m range the rest of the year are probably Joker and Jumanji, unless something else surprises (and those could overperform/perform closer the Jumanji 2017 respectively).

Frozen 2 says hi...….

Just back from IT Chapter Two.

That balls-to-the-wall last 90 minutes was really impressive and makes up for a sluggish second act.

$44m is fantastic if true. A better preview to Friday multiplier than the first chapter.

4.19x to 3.73x

So it's like the book: some really good stuff in the parts dealing with the adult Losers,  but also some bloat.

Stepahn King himself thinks "It" was overlong, and he should have probably had cut more (or, as he puts it, Killed His Darlings) from the book.

Frozen 2 doing only 200 to 300m would be... A surprise, I think.

(@Jayhawk wasn't talking about movies which will pass 200m, but be in the 200m range)

Really great result, this never really need to break the record

Very good opening, but compared to what some here were predicting for it....

Maybe not the right thread but what are we all predicting Doctor Sleep to do?

It will probably do OK, but Pet Semetary showed that "It" was something of a phenomenon, and you can't expect every film of a Stephan King novel to do big numbers.

But then "It" might have been an exception, it was the first film of a King novel to do huge numbers in a long, long, time.
