Exceptional hold - up to $2.215 million, Hobbs & Shaw is $2.295 million, so it will overtake it for number 2 this year, behind Endgame. Extreme falls do occasionally happen late in a movie's run, but if it stays strong, Venom/Infinity War would not be impossible...

 

And considering TLJ's final was around where Joker is atm, I would think Joker will outgross Rise of Skywalker as well...

There is big chance that Joker will surpass Endgame and become the biggest comic book movie after '89 in Poland. 

It open around half of Endgame but it has sensational wom and legs.

Amazing performance by Joker. Bohemian Rhapsody was a surprise to me but this is beyond that. Completely zooming past both Deadpools is quite impressive.

To show you how good Joker perform in Europe, I try to calculate all Marvel and DC  solo movies performance in 6 biggest Europe markets ( UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Russia) because there isn't complete data in Mojo for all Europe countries. So here is the result. It's also unintentionally at the same time it surpass SM3 in $ :

In line with Joker's direction of not being a conventional SH films, its gross distribution across the world also reflect that direction where Europe become the powerhouse of its gross earnings unlike every other SH films.

Adding 2.46 * 37 to achieve that goal shouldn't be a problem.

It's also why I'm quite optimistic about The Batman - TDK and TDKR were both big in Europe, and it's going to also be a less conventional action-heavy CG spectacle (though obviously not as much of a straight-up drama as Joker). I think it can get close to Joker's European performance, but have better Asian markets numbers (with China a big player).

 

Anyway, should it continue with strong legs into the rest of Nov and get close to 1.1B, would they expand for awards to get it close to CM/FFH?  

I don't personally see that happening, but, once the numbers are so big, you kinda just want it to keep going, to push the record/beat other movies (similar to EG with its run for #1)

The fact is joker will barely hit one third of EG's worldwide gross, less than half of EG's gross even if we excluding China but managed to flirt with EG's gross in many European countries just show how big the film is in Europe

It's weekdays also increase. Yesterday 23m estimate, now 24.8m. Let's hope for 45% drop week and more surprise like this week.
