I spent just as much time on this forum downplaying Endgame's performance when people claimed it was more impressive than Avatar's so that argument holds little weight. It's also fine to disagree with posts if we feel people are over exaggerating just how shocking it's success really is.

That is correct.

 

Right now, and among CBM films, Joker ranks #2 in gross, behind Endgame. It will beat it and it will probably be the first CBM grossing €30m.

 

In terms of admissions, it already ranks #4 ever after surpassing Endgame. It will probably reach 5 million admissions. The top 3 are:

Superman: 5.268 million

Spider-man: 5.249 million

Mortadelo y Filemón: 4.986 million (2003 film. It is based in the most famous Spanish comic)

 

Will Joker reach #1 in admissions? who knows...

In Japan, this movie strangely recover it's early insane drops that showed in first 5 weeks (15-25% drops). Frozen surely will impact it but when previous week showed that it might stop only in 45-46m. I think now it have real chance to reach >47m. 

 

Awesome legs 9.75x multi is possible.

 

P.S : Well Frozen 2 might hit harder than expected with Joker only got half seating total of last weekend. So possibly 45-47m finish

Joker with 698.9m OS, increase 2.9m from Sunday. Should get 5-5.5m weekdays and 7.5-8m weekend OS. 

 

Frozen 2 will impact it's legs with but 720m finish still safe. Should aim 725-730m if late legs is good.

In Japan, Even with Frozen 2 opened this weekend, rather than making the drop worse than usual. Actually drop seems better, only 25% from LW and better increase from Friday than usual. Probably get some spillover from Frozen.
