There is one big moment in the book that I wonder if they're going to keep in the film. I keep reading of changes to the story and have to think that is what it is.

I haven't read the book but after I saw the film I looked up things that happened in the book and there some things that are very different. A major part is apparently a Shyamalan change as it seems to have been closer to the book in the earlier drafts by the co-writers.

Has Shyamalan had any flop at boxoffice since After Earth ? Feel like every movie of his since then has done pretty well at boxoffice relative to the budgets

Thats some ... polarization lol

Another proof it's a Shyamalan film.

The worst reactions came from people that hated it's moral message. I guess audience will have zero problems with this. In fact, the movie could be loved by GA because of that.

Honestly the divisive reactions coming in for this sound more in line with what I expected. Subtlety has never been one of M. Night's strong suits, and this one especially looks like it's wearing its themes on its sleeve. Still seeing this over the weekend though.
