Last thing

STX’s Hustlers and New Line’s It Chapter Two will fight over fourth with around $16M a piece. That’s a -52% second hold for the Jennifer Lopez stripper pic and a third weekend decline of -60% for the Andy Muschietti-directed Stephen King sequel.

That could kill off 200m for It 2 if that holds

14.5M Friday (Abby) 33M 3-day

That Friday includes the 4.3M from 2 previews, so 10.2M True Friday. Not sure if it'll reach 33M based off that, but high 20s looks good.

A strong enough Saturday could push it over methinks. True Friday is equal with Sully.

IT2 did "around 5m" Friday according to Deadline which is a +188% bump.

Even 4.75 would be a solid +174% compared to IT1's +134% 2nd Friday.

If so we may have to put the Fri the 13th theory from last week to rest  (IT2 did +220% compared to IT1's +166%) as IT2's having another massive Fri bump in comparison.

I think thats really solid for Ad Astra comparing to the expectations going it. First Man got 1.1. And u cant imagine why Ad Astra would be more frontloaded. Whats the min. it can get with 1.5? Is 20M locked? give me some other films that got 1.5M

from this year
Angel has fallen 1.5M/21M
Dora 1.25M/17.4M
Yesterday 1.25M/17M
Ma 1.4M/18.1M
Rocketman 1.75M/25M
Hellboy 1.38M/12M

What Men Want 1.25M/18.2M

based on deadline's early numbers 20M isn't looking that good but I wouldn't rule it out just yet

Guess the Ad Astra trailer being in front of every movie released in the last few months didn’t help it too much

It's doing better than it could have. 7M Friday, 19M weekend is a bit higher than many people had it earlier this week.

First Man had a smaller budget and opened with 16M. Ad Astra also seems like it has worse audience reception so legs probably won't be better than First Man's. I'm afraid Astra will be seen as much of a financial disappointment.

Rambo'08 did 2.35x - 18.2 ow and 42.7 dom.

Last Blood could have a similar ow but previews and sequelitis could front-load it even more if that's possible.

Fortunately for it the prod budget is under 50m (Deadline).

It's midday Friday. We don't really know that yet.
