Has anything SONY's done with Spidey's "universe" post-Raimi really made sense?

'The Venom movies have been very sucessful, but other then that....nope.

Venom is a charecter who has a huge following; you can't say that about any of the other Spiderverse charecters.

The internet will probably give this a hard time anyway being a “girl gang” film.

Or it might just be a bad film..................

I read that SONY has put a live action SpiderGwen movie on the schedule. Why did'nt they do that first instead of this almost sure fire bomb" One of hte most popular Spidey varients against a really obscure charecter who some Spidey fans are unfamilair with. Should have been a no brainer.

Oh woops I didn’t mean in terms of quality, no one has seen it yet. I meant pre-release.

This has the Morbius writers lol.

It's beyond me how these guys keep getting work...

These guys are the same writers of Gods of Egypt, Last Witch Hunter, Power Rangers reboot ( this one I liked ), Dracula Untold ( this one I also enjoyed ).

Do they know some dirty / dark secret about executives or anything like that?

These are all movies that got made, and mostly attracted some quality talent behind and in front of the camera, regardless of their reception.  In filmmaking (and especially Hollywood), it's considered a victory just to get something actually shot!  And for screenwriters, any of their projects actually getting made is considered a double victory!

I’m guessing they’re men, straight and white. Otherwise they wouldn’t get multiple chances flop after flop after flop.

this will do shazam 2 numbers

I was gonna say Morbius numbers but then I realized Morbius actually had better numbers than Shazam 2. How did that even happen?! Shazam 2 is just OK, but Morbius is actively bad, like they tried to make it as trashy as possible. The power of memes I guess....

So, anyway, when is the trailer of this potential masterpiece coming out?
