Man, when Marvel got their first Xmas movie they really decided not to play around.

Over TA WW

I think $1B is possible but I think maybe wait until the pandemic is over before the over TA claims. Pre COVID-19, yes but I’d wait it out.

I’m bullish on covid recovery for now (see, e.g. my BW OW over 100M club). Certainly if we see evidence in mid 2021 of a slower recovery I’ll dial my expectations back down appropriately.

One thing to keep in mind is a lot of these may be very brief cameos. Like JK Simmons in Far From Home. Don’t expect too much out of all these announcements.

It makes sense that Feige would allow this though. It ties up all the TV shows/movies on all the platforms and It recognizes these lesser properties but allows them to be separate from the MCU proper.

I don't know that this person is reliable, but I can easily see Charlie Cox appearing in a cameo just as Matt Murdock, not Daredevil. In a lawyer capacity for a scene maybe. That way you don't need to get into the specifics of how canon the Netflix shows are supposed to be considered in a post-Marvel TV world.

Because they weren't dead dead. They were just kind of dead. Gamora didn't come. Widow didn't come.

Gamora's back, anyway, though...another Gamora.  Kind of destroys the heft/gravity of death.  I've gone on my spiel before here.

I think Electro didn't die in TASM 2. Can you kill electricity?

Dr Octopus definitely died in Spider Man 2, though. Unless some kind of portal opened, lol.

Goblin died in Spider Man 1, but there's Dane Dehaan's version from TASM 2 that's still alive.

But I'm a hypocrite, just like everyone.  I admit I'm excited for this!  😂  #WeNeverSawDocOcksBody

And if they get Dafoe back...sheesh...multi-multiverse, it is, cause that dude was clearly RIP.

I’m gonna be skeptical for now.

Cox/Daredevil involvement was rumored/leaked months ago, and kind of makes perfect sense considering where the plot left off in Far From Home!

Yep.  And obviously if he goes over well...who knows what could happen.  I'm sure King Feige has a number of roadmaps.

Does it? Yeah Gamora don't have a reason to go back in 2014 timeline but she has no love for this galaxy GoTG either. May be she bond with Nebula and Peter-Gamora eventually become a thing, that will still be a good film to watch.

See the potential.

For me, that's the same story we've already seen?  But in many ways, so are the Spider-Man movies...

I won't derail this thread further with it...

https://tvline.com/2020/12/09/daredevil-returns-charlie-cox-spider-man-3-movie/

TVLine is reporting the Charlie Cox "news," just crediting the other website.  But TVLine is a Deadline spin-off, usually sticking to "official" news and verified rumors from those associated with productions -- so I'd expect it to be "official" very soon.

...And it's been rumored for months, anyway...and it's not like Marvel's statement upon the Daredevil Netflix cancellation didn't leave the door open...

The immediate thought is that he's coming back because Peter needs a lawyer but...there's another character who was introduced in a Spider-Man comic who might try to kill Peter now that he's been framed for terrorism.

Because he really, really hates criminals.
