With Eternals potentially at 110...I really think 250 mil opening weekend could happen.

I'd agree with you if we weren't in a Pandemic. As of right now, I'm thinking more 170M-200M. You never know, I might change my predictions on this the closer we get to NWH's release. Very excited to see how Eternals performs.

We should know in a couple of days about the IATSE strike.

If you check the thread on that here, the latest is not very optimistic.

If the strike happens, it will probably last a few weeks at the best, (hollywood strikes if they happen tend to go on for a long time) and the December release schudule will be pretty much wiped.

So all the box office talk could be acedemic.

I have never been more excited for a movie in my life. Just the thought of my childhood hero, Tobey Maguire showing up swinging to aid with his theme makes my eyes teary. Tears will flow this December.

Not from me, since it has come out how big a SOB Maguire was.

outsource them to foreign firms which do post if possible.

Pretty sure outsourcing like that is illegal.

Edit: Seems like it's not actually. But still, there's a lot of complicated work done in post-prod for big movies like this that can't just be outsourced.

i may be wrong but based on what i read, it seems that the movies that will actually be affected will be the ones that are filming right now, so the rest of 2021 slate is probably safe as only vfx work is left probably and (unfortunately) vfx artist arent part of IATSE
