Tuesday seems like 5.75-6 at noon given the usual Tuesday pre-sale heaviness.

Better than Gravity's post-Indigenous Peoples Tuesday drop (30% for J, 35% for G), although Discount Tuesday played a part here

3rd weekend drop seems to harsh.

If tue falls close to 30% don't think wed will fall much more than that.

6 (-28-29%)

4.1-4.2 (-28-29%)

3.7-3.8 Thu in face of Maleficent previews

Would then need at least mid-high 130% Fri bump to hit 9 on Fri

Needs that 9 Fri imo to hit 30 weekend : 9 + 12.5 (+39%) + 8.5 (-32%) = 30

That's a crazy hold! Thanks for the data, by any chance do you have anything on BC in particular and how it's doing here?

Finally saw Gemini Man... Wtf Ang Lee?! Forget your extra frames per second, get some better scripts, man. Among other things...

I was expecting this to be a passable action flick, but throughout, I just couldn't help thinking how Looper and Logan did it soooooo much better, in all aspects.

This was proper bad and I'm really happy its flopping, as such a lazy movie deserves to be completely ignored. Flat action, what little humor never landed, Will Smith half-asleep, a weak story, and the CGI was outright bad. I don't mean the de-aging - though most of it was only so-so, with some scenes distractingly bad. But the human models in some action scenes...fuck me, they were like out of Blade 2, except that movie was fun and watchable.

Did you see it in high fps or normal?

Normal. Can't think of anything worse than hfr when it comes to movies. Maybe if I'd never seen a movie before, sure. I saw Kermode's review when I got home and, even though I had far more issues with the movie (basically all of it), he focuses a lot on the hfr, though it is completely valid - it just doesn't look cinematic. I remember the hobbit, and I can only imagine how distracting this would be.

Hfr can go away and never come back.

Hitting a panic button at the 30% drop projection is just further showcasing the lack of understanding for some on this board. Today every film will look bad in comparison to Monday and even last Tuesday as business was shifted due to the holiday.

A 30% drop is a good solid hold. Maybe not what the 350+ crowd need to keep them at ease but its solid and also shows that last week was potentially inflated.
