Frozen II 971m OS 1.44B WW

if F2 opens well over F1, which it seems to be the case, it wouldn't need as strong legs to end up with significantly bigger total. It won't collapse so it's a moot point whether legs are a bit weaker and we don't know if they will be. Just because reviews are weaker that doesn't mean audience reception will agree. Look at IW and EG. IW had 2.63 multi vs EG 2.4 multi dom so obviously IW legs were stronger. However, EG opened so much over IW that weaker legs didn't matter. It blew past IW's total.

One of the theater chains here in Indonesia has screenings for Frozen 2 as early as 8AM. I've never seen that since Endgame. Maybe for the little kids? I mean, they wouldn't waste electricity and man power if there weren't enough demands. The point is, there are signs that Frozen 2 will get huge OW in Indonesia. Not sure how huge though. But definitely the biggest for animated film.

I Think column D could be B+C.

Example South Korea is 4,5 (B4) weekdays + 27 (C4 or B49+C49+D49) weekend = 31,5 total week (D4)

In any case great work!

They’re Fri-Thurs weeks, so Column D= week 1 is the market’s FSS+upcoming MTuWTh. So D is equal to C+currently unestimated gross in weekdays of next week.

So wed 20 + thr 21 is week 0. Agree, but international total is usually updated on Sunday, so maybe could be better to have mon-sun week.

Frozen 2 has the best OD of all time for a Disney animated movie in France, it's a great result considering these movies are pretty popular in the country.

No ... Ice Age 3 still holds all time OD animation record in France by a margin & Overall 4th highest of all time

2nd position belongs to Incredibles 2

Top 3 animation OD in France

Ice Age 3 - 767,099

Incredibles 2 - 694,631

Minions - 596,291

Fullbuster said Disney animation, so no IA3 or Minions. Incredibles 2 is technically Disney, but from context I guess they meant WDAS.

"Disney animated movie" => Walt Disney Animation Studios / WDAS

but considering the ginormous hype of F2 I thought it was all time record for animation. But that shows how big IA movies were at their heydey and so did the jaudinced monsters.

Frozen2 $4.25mn opening day in South Korea. Highest opening day ever for an animation film in country. Heading for $30mn plus weekend.

Also grossed $2.7mn in France & $2.4mn in Germany yesterday. Overall $7mn Approx Wednesday opening.

That ATP in Germany, $12 for a kids movie.

Really looking forward to where this weekend will head.

They were absolutely gigantic in like France and Germany (in Germany the first four movies are #2, #3, #4 and #7 in the CGI-Animation list (only movie to top Ice Age 2 (#2) was Finding Nemo through a rerun (before that was #3 I think))

Yeah I've been wondering why they were so huge especially in those countries. Never understand that. I get why the Minions movie was huge for example, or Shrek. They've become iconic characters. But Ice Age?
