Weekend Thread: FvF vroooms past 30M+; Say Goodnight Angels with 8M for CA; Waves washes up 37k+ PTA

Yeah....maybe mid-high-teens is the highest this can go if it really holds well. I can see around 5m today since it doesnt seem like something that would have TOO much of a rush. Either way that isn't a good number.

Malef2's preview to ow multiplier of 16.08x gives 14.5m to CA. Can't it do a little better considering it's not a direct sequel?

Thinking 18x for 16m+ ow cannot be ruled out.

14-16m ow would give CA a good shot at 40-45m dom which is fine for it's budget.

EDIT: Malef2 previews started at 7pm while CA's started at 4:30pm it seems , so more than 14-15m will be tough.

Deadline reported that CA net budget is around $55 million....

The fact these numbers most likely include the Girls Night Out showings on Wednesday only makes it worse, like Doctor Sleep's low preview numbers last week also including the early showings from the week before.

If they do include those numbers...then YIKES. Hopefully Ford v. Ferrari does better.

Given that Ford v Ferrari is likely to skew older, $25M+ seems likely.

Dark Fate did 13x. Around that would give 27-27.5m.

edit:

Midway did an epic 19.35x though it aligned with an apt weekend thematically and had a strong Sunday hold. Still 15x for 30m+ ow would be great for FVF.
