Weird that it heavily overindexed at 2MTC. The previews was just 2x the MTC which is lowest I have seen. Or it sold tons of kiddie tickets. But let us see how things go.

Maybe cheap Tuesday and/or a huge amount of senior discount tickets (for Those that don’t do cheap Tuesday) inflated your predictions?

I like Evans better, but if you put him in MIBI and Hems in KO I doubt either would see their grosses change much.

Yep, this. CE picked a much better movie than CH. swap them and you'll get approximatly the same result on both sides. CE wouldn't improve MI4 appeal nor would HE decrease KO's.

Both Chris coming off from their EG's role as iconic Thor and captain america, but MIB4 flopped whereas KO succeed,

Robert in Dolittle in next January will tell you who really own the star power on their own.

Evans first movie post EG roles was this past July  :

Maybe it is the first time I heard of it.

It helps that RJ keeps his budgets down.

Looper - 30m

Knives Out - 40m

Brother's Bloom 20m

Obviously BB is the only box office dud on the list, but at it's widest it was only on 209 screens.

Frozen 2 will have no trouble staying atop the chart over the long Thanksgiving corridor (Wednesday-Sunday) with a royally great $100 million to $120 million for the five days.

Rian Johnson's whodunit Knives Out  is on course to gross $8 million today — including $3.7 million in Tuesday previews and precious sneaks — for a five day total as high as $30 million to $25 million, ahead of expectations.

Queen & Slim, helmed by acclaimed music video director Melina Matsoukas in her feature directorial debut from a script by Lena Waithe, is on course to gross $2.2 million on Wednesday for a projected five-day haul north of $15 million to $17 million

110 5-day for F2 is in line with our expectations. Deadline's +/- 10 seems very reasonable.

20 (-3.5%) + 13 (-35%) + 77.5 2nd weekend = 110.5 5-day

30 (+130%) + 29.5 + 18 (-39%) = 77.5 (-40.5%)

Going by possibility of Wed being 23+, 120 5-day also feasible.

$120M or so 5-day was what I got from my projections. We'll have to see how the bumps and Sunday drop are. As we know Frozen II is sort of breaking new ground so we can't exactly rely solely on past trends. Just have to wait and see.

2nd Update Midday: Another huge moviegoing day with Disney’s Frozen 2 eyeing $23.5M today, on its way to a $96.3M second weekend (-26%) and $135.4M 5-day. Pic’s 10-day running total will near $300M, just $1M shy by Sunday. Five-days are always hard for many to project, so we’ll put an asterisk on that. What’s for certain is that Elsa and Anna will defeat Katniss (aka Hunger Games: Catching Fire) for the Thanksgiving 5-day record for any holdover and opener, that 2013 sequel making $109.9M per Comscore. Disney reported a $20.79M Tuesday for Frozen 2, still a November record, and third best for an animated pic on a Tuesday after Incredibles 2 ($27M) and Finding Dory ($23.1M).

Lionsgate/MRC’s Knives Out is in 2nd seeing $8.2M for today including its $3.7M previews and sneaks, a $24.8M 3-day, and a current five-day of $35.4M.

Ford v Ferrari in weekend 3 places 3rd with $2.7M today, a $14.4M 3-day (-8%) and a 5-day of $20M and running total of $82M.

Fourth place goes to Sony/TriStar’s A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood with $2.3M today, $11.85M second weekend (-10%), 5-day of $16.6M and running 10-day total of $33.6M.

Fifth spot belongs to Universal/Makeready/Bron’s Queen & Slim which is seeing $2M today sans previews, $12.1M 3-day, and $16.8M 5-day.
