Isn't Black Adam currently slated for the same period (yeah I know, we'll probably have a Matrix/Wick thing on our hands)? Also, I think Sony has Hotel Transylvania 4 for that period too, which are both going for a similar audience.

Sony's taking a weirdly long time with releasing Cinemascores these days. Charlie's Angels and Beautiful Day also didn't have it public at the same point in time.

On Jumanji, at MTC1 it increased 62.8% and MTC2 56.4%. Very Strong increases for sure.

 

Edit: another interesting point is even Post 6PM shows were stronger today than on friday at both MTC !!!

Honestly very surprised with Jumanji's numbers. I was expecting a 37ish opening as I thought this would decrease like Secret Life of Pets 2 but do fine for the holidays but I guess people liked the first Jumanji while the first Pets movie was eh at best. I'm gonna guess it'll total out at 240m+ domestic.

I hope Jumanji gets to $300m domestic, I haven’t watched it and can’t for another’s couple of weeks so don’t know the quality, but I really want to see the top 10 domestic all above $300m for the first time ever.

The films releasing a week before Xmas drop in high teens or low 20s. 

20% drop on Sunday gives $18.8mn Sunday & $61.7mn Weekend.

Maybe Sony will move Transylvania 4? I dont think they should change switch anything up by moving Jumanji to summer or spring. Its doing great in December, why change what works?

I think a similar thing is going to happen to WW84 domestically. Same with Deadpool, Jumanji and Frozen. 
 

Start so high with the first film and there’s not a lot of room to improve.

Very happy that Jumanji is doing so well, hope it does 300M+ DOM and 800+ WW. I saw it today and liked it even more than the 2017 one. This is the funniest role Rock has done in his life. Kevin Hart is also a hoot. Special mention to Smouldering Danny Devito as well .
