Can't really trust that. It's bound to be review bombed.

But the verified score is the easiest to rig, you can do it on a budget of a few thousands dollars. Plus it doesn't take anyone into account except Americans who used fandango. imdb score and unverified is way better representation of the mood for the film

I also watched The Last Jedi again in preparation for this weekend.   Man,  I just don't hate the movie... I kinda like it even.  I think the decisions made are baffling because there was no plan coming into a third movie.

As a movie in itself..  The Last Jedi is pretty good outside of the casino stuff.

Again,  I don't blame The Last Jedi,   I blame that there was no road map for a trilogy.  The decision to take an "as we go.."  approach with this trilogy is way more baffling than any one decision made in TLJ.

So instead of killing him when you least expect it, you want him killed in the third movie, just like what happened to the Emperor?

If you kill him in the second movie, fine, but you need to create his replacement.  A credible villain needs to exist going into the last movie of your trilogy.  Kilo (who has basically lost every fight in all three movies) doesn't work as a main antagonist.

Rian's sin was taking out the main "mastermind villain" without providing any kind of alternative.  I mean, with snoke dead and most of the new order's fleet destroyed, what was supposed to be the threat for the third movie?  Kylo that Rey has already defeated?

lmao, what?

Very low number of votes makes it incredibly easy to inflate by the disney moms and wanabee disney influencers etc etc. Not trustworthhy. I don't see any big studio movie with a rotten verified score ever.

Saw TROS in IMAX 3D this evening. I was very pleasantly surprised. I honestly don't know what film the reviewers saw. Convoluted? Nope, easy to follow, and I am a casual Star Wars fan not a deep fan. Boring? IMO, the film starts with an action-bang and never lets up, is never boring and yet there is plenty of character interaction as well.

The closest comparison is Endgame. Like that film, TROS had to juggle 10 balls in the air and sort them out with aplomb. If Endgame was successful with all 10 balls, TROS was with 9 of them. The only flaw being that thanks to poor character development in the TLJ, I just didn't care about the fate of a couple of the new characters. But I cared about most.

And I recommend seeing this in IMAX 3D. This is exactly what the format is for.

Go bulls.

I just got out. 7/10. By far the worst aspect of the film was the editing throughout (but especially in the first 45 minutes)

This film would have benefited from breathing room. I don’t mean slower paced scenes. I mean starting every new scene with establishing shots before jumping into the dialogue. There’s literally no fat whatsoever in the editing, and any dietician will tell you that some fats are good for you.

I agree, but I think the problem was after TLJ they had SO MUCH ground to cover they just had to do everything fast.

I don't know if it's true. I'm reading some posts on reddit and someone is claiming that the verified users for TROS on RT are suspect.

It seems one of them has not been active for 12 years and another one was created today, while another one wasn't active for 1 year. Not sure if it's true, I'm just reading it...
