Disney will pull a $200m even ow estimate on Sunday for headlines, then it’ll drop to like 194 on Monday. I know it’s not like Disney to do that, but these are “desperate” times lol.

To be honest that "record" (less than both TFA and TLJ) doesn't mean anything, Star Wars is very frontloaded franchise, maybe the most frontloaded, let's see its holds over the next few days.

That really isn't true at all.  It may be frontloaded over its opening weekends but the movies tend to have good legs overall for big blockbusters.

Those are weak numbers both OS and DOM (I have no idea why a sub $200m OW DOM should be celebrated for the final movie). I'm glad things are back to normal, that wave of positivism brought by Deadline's stupid numbers scared me for a bit.

Who the heck would have thought 5 years ago after TFA broke records this is where the finale of Star Wars would go in terms of box office, Age of Ultron. LMAO! 

 

Anything below a 2 is not good for this franchise sorry. Other franchises would salivate at this number but Star Wars? Nope.

So with TLJ multiplier for the weekend, it gets to $195M. Gives us a range of maybe $550M to $670M for the domestic total. Depends on whether it behaves more like TLJ or Rogue One.
