The key is for LFL/Disney to actually make a movie that fans and audiences WANT to see.

So they need to decide which of those 40,000,000 different ideas they should go with.

And now they need to decide if they'll keep trying to please older audiences that clearly didn't want the franchise to evolve or do something new to actually gain new audiences, especially foreign.

To me the main reason for IX failure as a movie is exactly because they try to please everyone a bit when clearly this isn't possible

We'd have a better film that would gross less than The Last Jedi. Maybe it wouldn't drop 700 million though.

We do?

Is impossible to measure personal tastes, but there are parts of the movies that are not subjective and we could say clearly if it's good or not, and we can say IX is a failure in basically every aspect of those non-subjective parts (terrible script, clunky editing, uninspired direction).

Can Disney just give future SW films to Jon Favrue. The Mandalorian is amazing and the best thing since Disney purchased SW. With him and Dave Filoni and Deborah Chow there's no reason that SW cannot be as a big as Marvel.

I think Taika Waititi also could be a very good option to direct a SW movie... good writer, good director, excellent timing for both comedy / drama, and of course very strong personality

This trilogy is so freaking weird.

It s like the 3 movies have a beef with each other.

This trilogy is like a Three acts play of a divorce.

And it ends on a tragic & sour note.

Hmmm... divorce... Adam Driver starring... it all makes sense! The ST is a longform advertisement for Marriage Story :ohmygod:

Literally go see it a infinite amount of times. Papa Mando and Baby Yoda on the big screen and Mando playing Santa Claus for his son, take my money.

It's not actually that good though.  Basically everything on HBO over the last few years is better than The Mandalorian.

Exactly with a movie like that they can make it to the 2022 release. the screenplay won't be long to write.
