Re-watching AOTC. 40 minutes in. It's all fine so far...yes some dialogue-cringe between Anakin and Padme, wooden acting, a bit too leisurely pacing...but quiet engrossing. Long way to go (~140 min run-time)

Edit: 45 min - had to pause to post ... "II don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth." <rubs her hand>...but backdrop is beautiful and Across The Stars kicks in. Save.

Wonder how Deadline will spin the weekend numbers which will be well off from TLJ running total. Maybe Naples Florida will come through.

Anecdotal but the 12PM showtime is sold out with fans having a popcorn party in the lobby to celebrate.

The Anakin and Padme chemistry in that movie is some of the worst I have ever seen in a movie ever. Say what you will about the messy plots of the ST but the better acting will always make them more rewatchable than the prequels were.

You're doing a bit of spin yourself. It will only be off by about seven or eight million. Oh god forbid a movie is only eight million off after the second weekend from a movie that ended up earning 1.3 billion.
