i agree with this. the sequel is maybe a little worse but they're basically the same in quality. not sure how they would manage to make the next one appealing if they dont change it up tbh

Everything else being equal (time to market, competition, etc.), the December SW movies would have opened higher outside of December with weaker multipliers. The behavior of the audience shifts depending upon the calendar...which is something that’s still being lost in analysis by...certain outlets...who either don’t know or care that TROS hit the holiday 5 days sooner than the last December SW release and the runway is gonna disappear 5 days sooner as well.

AOTC has unforgivable acting, dialogue delivery and cringe from CH in quiet a few scenes with Padme but there's so much to like about the movie too. Obi-Wan sequences flow smoothly, simpler story and character motivations make sense, the score and world building make it watchable.

 

AOTC is earnest (5.5/10) while TROS is a hack (3.5/10).

It was meant to be uncomfortable and creepy. Besides Anakin 's stalkerish actions, the two bond when Anakin tells Padme about killing the Sand People. It's hard to find two lovers as dysfunctional as these two, especially in a "family" film.

I never understood why people said Hayden Christensen acting was bad. 

As a kid I loved it.

And then I watched the English version of RotS...   the French voice actor is way better than Hayden Christensen.
