92nd Academy Awards Nominations - The Official Thread | Joker leads the pack with 11 noms

Oscar Isaac and Salma Hayek will also be presenting together apparently, hopefully one of the three categories Star Wars is nominated in (though I get the sense even he's not too happy with how that movie turned out given his "Disney Overlords" comments).

Drama. The point is that it could go either way so you either get happy reunion a la SLP/Spike or WTF like when they lose.

Portman is working with Waititi on Thor so it's a pretty safe choice to have her with Chalamet to present Adapted since it's a tossup between him and Gerwig for win. But maybe they are presenting Costume, in which case she has a tiny connection with Waitit's movie (Jojo is up for that too, against LW).

It just seems to happen more often that it did before, but that's not surprising given we're in the age of social media where people crave talking points or memes.

Brie Larson is also presenting. As per twitter her partner is either Mahershala Ali or Gal Gadot.

Gal Gadot will be the perfect choice obviously.

mahershala is presenting supporting actress cos he won s.actor last year.

Mahershala Ali is gonna be presenting Supporting Actress (as per tradition for the previous acting winners to return the following year to crown the next winners for the same category but the opposite gender) so pairing her up with Gadot sounds about right.

They mixed it up a bit last year. The producers of the telecast announced a lot of moronic decisions they had to walk back after the backlash, one of them was initially not inviting back previous year's winners as presenters, hoping to get people with more star power to present the acting categories instead.  This went over like a lead balloon with the public and the actors themselves, and in the end, they had Gary Oldman and Allison Janney team up for Best Actor while Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell presented Best Actress.  For the other acting categories, it was Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler presenting Supporting Actress, with Charlize Theron and Daniel Craig presenting Supporting Actor.

Here are Ans0lo and Eiza Gonzalez presenting both Sound categories to Dunkirk, LOL forever:

lmfao I remember that bullshit. Imagine being Allison Janney with all the awards she has on her mantel (including an Oscar!) and being told "you're not famous enough to present at the Oscars."

Parasite has already won in the future.

You just don't know it yet.

Quoting myself for posterity.

This prediction took me 2 nano seconds to make.

Didn't follow the race, discussion or precursors.

Didn't need to.

Easiest prediction to make.
