NYC about doubles in a day, now almost 1000 cases. Anyone who thinks this can blow over in a couple of weeks is delusional

Not delusional, everybody is aware and has been aware that cases are going to blow up this week and next as more tests roll out. Where this is in 10 days will be dramatically different

I saw on TV some experts saying US will reach its peak in 45 days. its not gonna go away in 10 days. Its just beginning for US as they screwed it up and were one of the last countries to start doing anything

Also US is not doing any shutdown really. Italy was strict. Meanwhile in US people are still doing whatever they want

No way it goes away in 10 days but regaining control over it is definitely possible

Italy's air quality and health systems aren't like the US. People on average are much healthier in US. and just in general, the US has far more resources to attack the problem with. Trump is facing reelection and knows he is vulnerable. They're going to EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE to get through this and jumpstart the economy ASAP.

Please post things that are factually accurate.

The average American lives 5 years less then the average person from a country in the top 10.  Italy is in the top 10.

Lungs are in much better condition generally. That's pretty much widely accepted. Vaccinations, normal flu shots, and all those other things are all top notch in US health systems as well. The amount of people with preexisting immunity to covid-19 is likely much higher in the US as a result. This isn't my opinion, this is out there for public to see

Sorry but this is absolute nonsense.

We won’t even see the beginning effects of the various lockdowns and social distancing until the end of March.

This is not true and as @BoxOfficeZ said the USA has some of the unhealthiest people. The way diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol are so common here 💀

The state governments are shutting things down but people are still roaming around or congregating at grocery stores. While some states have been on “lock down” for a couple days now, the lock down is ineffective when people aren’t listening and doing whatever they want.

How dangerous walking around in not too crowded open environnement without touching anything, that really do not compare to something like taking the bus or the subway.

If we are on for this for 8-12-18-24 months, we will need some healthy type of social distancing measure that will include people taking a jog-walk.

First off, lmao why is that coming from an account called "TaylorSwiftFacts"

Also, has anyone else realized that The Purge movies never hit 100M domestic, and that granted not a whole lot of people have seen, but literally EVERYONE knows what "the purge" means. Just goes to show what a killer concept that series has/had.

It could, but that is also true (if not more true) for a lot of Asia previously as well no ?

Local law enforcement should be stepping the fuck up right now.

The journalist is mad because a couple are holding hands. Does he know what people do in the bedroom?

In general I find it annoying to blame random people for not immediately adopting CDC-approved guidelines. Ideally it would happen but they can't do much to fight a global pandemic. It was the job of their government, two months ago.

Not sure those people are not adopting them by the action shown, san fransisco guideline at least clearly say:

https://sf.gov/stay-home-except-essential-needs

It is OK to go outside for walks if you are not in a group.

Except for the vulnerable population.
