EMA are now reporting about 4 cases of bloodclots in j&j vaccine. Must be USA cases since we don`t have it yet in europe.

Also reports about Sputnik clots. I guess we just have to accept the risk and take a gamble. If we in Denmark remove J&J also it would push our finishline 2-3 months and take us into the fall

They are all Adenovirus based vaccines.

I did say further back in the thread if one did it, they likely all would.

It's a feature of Covid itself, it had been noted that a proportion of young people suffer strokes due to an overreaction of the immune system.

If Covid does it, the vaccines are likely to do it too.

Its emergency usage, they haven't done enough testing, it could be they need to lower the dosage for younger adults. We saw in the AZ trials that they made a mistake in one of the group's and only gave a half dose, it made no difference to efficacy, in fact that group had a higher efficacy that the full dose gave.

B.1.1.7 seems to be a rather dominant strain - considering it is the VOC that if it appears doesn’t take long to make up a majority of cases.

in week 6 in Germany roughly 6 % were B1.1.7 and 1% were P.1, B1.351 etc.

Now B1.1.7 makes up like 90% and the other still around 1%.

Could be a/the reason.

And the government really should stop making vaccine delivery plans (to the states), they don’t work.

This is a bit tricky. It is indeed very probably the case that if the AZ vaccine raises the risk of the rare type blood clot, the other adenoviral vector vaccines will as well, at least those using the Ad5 vector.

Much less clear that it has anything to do with the reaction to COVID itself - while that's possible, if true then it should also affect the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which we haven't seen yet.

Yes, Its all just guessing on my part, in the absence of any data its just trying to fit a scenario to what we have observed.

Of course there is a difference in that one is RNA based and one is DNA based.

Investors believe in a strong economic recovery in Western Europe as vaccinations strongly accelerated in France and Germany and are set to accelerate even further.

Also note that theaters could reopen in France around May 15 (capacity: 35%) after being closed last October. Possibly increasing capacity at 65% around late June/Early July so just in time for Black Widow (in a country where Premiere Access + theaters is not possible so it matters).

Normal life will probably be back in July apart from wearing masks that will have to go on until September at the very least. People should be happy.

The European economy is doomed which is unsurprising given the US and UK gave direct relief to people and boosted the economy unlike the EU that did shit.
