Scarlett deserves it for JoJo - won't happen either.

I have not seen Jojo, but i wasn't that impressed with Laura Dern in MS. Scarlett for lead i thought was the fav before Renne started winning all the previous awards. ugh not a fan of bio movies

Scarlett was never a fave to win I'm afraid. she was tipped for nom for Marriage Story (100%) and maybe even Jojo as a double nom (75%) but Renee was tipped for the win since festival circuits (that both Scarlett movies hit). Renee only got a bit of attention taken away during Lupita's reign as the critics awards queen but everyone knew televised ones would go for Renee and they did. Plus, Lupita missed the nom so there's no other actress that won something important in the Oscar line-up to challenge Renee. same goes for other 3 acting frontrunners - virtually unchallenged due to mega sweeps.
