Fantastic for Sonic. It is gonna go above 70M for the 4 day weekend, isn't it?

What about Birds of Prey and Fantasy Island?

Sonic 21.5 (+19.4% from 18 true Fri)

Jumanji 2.5 (+35.5% from 1.845 Fri)

Parasite 2.3 (+34.1% from 1.715 Fri)

(added % bump from Fri)

23% Sun drop gives Sonic 59 FSS.

24% Sun drop gives JUM2 6.25.

24.5% Sun drop gives Parasite 5.75.

I think Sonic could reach 200M DOM.

I think TMNT 2014 total domestically is more likely. Onward in three weeks will eat into its audience.

Sonic targeting Bad Boys opening figures.

Jumanji targeting a 10th weekend above Endgame. Now, I know what you’re thinking — “but Arendelle, wasn’t Endgame notoriously frontloaded? Are its late weekends really meaningful comparison to anything?” Well the thing is... that was the weekend it got rereleased and increased over 200% :Gaga:

JUM1 had a 7.94 FSS (VD/PD weekend) and added 3.39x that to it's run.

Gives JUM2 6.25 * 3.39 = 21.2 more for 327-328 dom.

Low-320s seems realistic using worse legs. Gonna make 800 ww touch and go.

This doesn’t seem at all realistic with the history of kids/family bumps on the post-Pres Friday. E.g.

5 2 The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part $2,192,036 +94.9% -50.2% 3,833 $571 $75,796,075 15
6 4 Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle $1,346,038 +132.3% -27.9% 2,519 $534 $382,980,253 66
4 2 Peter Rabbit $2,845,620 +116.3% -30.1% 3,707 $767 $61,591,322 15
2 2 The Lego Batman Movie $4,249,572 +136.9% -42.2% 4,057 $1,047 $118,256,150 15
4 2 Kung Fu Panda 3 $2,875,390 +131.6% -25.3% 3,448 $833 $107,479,974 22
4 3 The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water $4,013,127 +108.4% -37.9% 3,680 $1,090 $113,684,961 15
1 1 The Lego Movie $7,275,739 +169.2% -43.2% 3,890 $1,870 $158,985,835 15
9 5 Frozen $1,023,438 +125.6% -40.1% 1,891 $541 $380,727,773 92

I think you’re underestimating the effect of the weekday break. Thursday being just 33% bigger turns a +200% Fri into a +125% Fri.

You are right. More than few school disctricts are off next week. We will know based on wednesday drop relative to monday. Which means weekdays will be boosted as well. But it should better than Lego 2 which faced Dragon 3 and some of the other movies were late in its run. May be 135% like Lego Batman.

The difference between TMNT 2014 and Sonic is that people actually like Sonic. TMNT 2014 did well financially but its sequel crashed and burned. The Sonic sequel (it will be greenlit any day now) might still decline but will fare much better than the TMNT sequel did.

BoP flat, BBFl 4.5ish and Photograph 4.1ish.

BoP being flat.... seems like I called that as a likely possibility 🤷‍♂️ definitely a good hold for the WOM that really can only be attributed to the calendar placement.

In regards to @Arendelle Legion and @keysersoze123 discussing next Friday, generally from here till end of March / Easter the Fridays will be inconsistent due to the skewed nature of mid-term and spring breaks. It will obviously be more noticeable a month from now (for about 2 weeks if memory serves me right) but it starts now. Makes it harder to have a full grasp on what will increase and by how much.

*this is mostly for the new members / trackers*

As always thanks to you both for bringing data and good discussion to the threads
