SNL has always been trash. Some of us just can’t bring ourselves to admit it.

As someone with fond nostalgic memories of watching SNL growing up in the 90s, for me it's never been as much about the comedy (which has been more hit-and-miss over last 20 or so years IMO but hey, there's a reason why humor, like all art, is subjective) as much as it's always been about the cast, as many of our most notable comedy stars owe their entire careers to the show. That said, these last few years have been especially rough, both because the cast became too big to allow any of the newer folks (and it must be said there's a lot of genuinely funny people on the show right now, Bowen Yang already seems destined to blow up) to stand out and the lines between what's real and what's parody becoming blurred due to how absurd the world is today (no wonder the highlights were always when they called out the idiots at Fox News and other conservative figures...who in return call themselves out as the real thin-skinned cry babies by responding how !offended! they are to be made fun of for the stupid shit that comes out of their mouths). As much as it's been sad to see the people who have been around the past decade leave at last (the fact so many stayed for so long feels like commentary on the theatrical comedy becoming an endangered species more than anything else), I'm really looking forward to the show moving forward and establishing a new identity with the newer cast because SNL should be a launch pad, not a reliable source of income.

Have they parodied AOC yet? Tons of comedy gold right there!

Similar to the above studios, Amazon/MGM and Lionsgate wouldn’t comment on their Super Bowl plans. However, it wouldn’t be shocking if either had a presence; Amazon had a spot for its Lord of the Rings series last year and MGM had one for No Time to Die in 2020. Hence, it wouldn’t be a surprise if United Artists Releasing’s Creed III (March 3) shows up, or if Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 4 (March 24) makes a splash. The latter franchise ran a spot for John Wick: Chapter 2 during Super Bowl 2017.

Embargo lifts later tonight. Not surprised if this get very strong reactions. Heard very good things and given the embargo is almost a month out that usually is a good sign.

Review embargo or social media embargo?

Also would love to see MBJ turn into a successful actor-turned-director.
