I didn't know the two studios are cooperating this closely. Do you have a source?

I mean John Lasseter literally used to be the CCO of WDAS. Of course they have been working closely together for years. I doubt WDAS would be in the same position they are if Disney hadn't bought Pixar.

I still think 3m OD. Let us see where it is in the evening.

Great. Thanks as always for the sales info.

I’m sure you went over this a few times when you were getting up and running, but what do the numbers with decimals mean again?

I loved MacFarland USA, for all its clichés. Honestly, the inspirational sports drama formula really works for me. Hoping another one can break out like the Blind Side again one day. But for the past ~6 years they've sort of been stuck around the 10M opening ceiling.

I've got a lot of nostalgia for the Disney sports movie era of Remember the Titans/The Rookie/Miracle/Glory Road. It's definitely the one thing I miss most in Disney (and the rest of Hollywood's) "screw midbudget movies" era of cinema

Dolittle WW performance looking better and better every day...

I think Dolittle has the “biggest bomb of 2020” award in the bag til the end of the year.

A financial and critical disaster.

I get that this is Disney and everything, and I'm sure this sounds optimistic, but I sincerely doubt, especially considering the death disease exists that Bob Chapek and Pete Docter are looking at Onward and saying "Welp, guess our audience don't want original stuff. Might as well completely scrap all the other stuff we're working on".

This applies to pretty much every movie coming out this year, since everything will be impacted by Corona, directly or indirectly

Exactly, Coco did over $800m WW in 2017 so there is value in original films. I think perhaps Pixar needs to only do one film a year.

Just now, TMP said:

Could honestly see a scenario where every non-MCU Disney film this year under-performs tbh. Sony #1 studio of 2020?

Sony's not going to be number 1.
