btw @Eric Atreides do you know where to see the daily/weekly best selling movies on google play? the "most popular" tab seem to have the same movies for weeks so im not sure if it's legit.

Sadly I don't think there is any way to find that kind of data on Google Play. Places like Google Play and Vudu have "popular" or "trending" categories, and I'm sure the way they are placed could be true, but I don't think Sonic being first automatically makes it the #1 movie on GP with the most transactions. It could very well be that it was just placed randomly at the top because it's a big movie people would be interested to watch. iTunes and Amazon have a concrete ranked list that makes it more believable to me over what's actually being bought.

 

That's also why I ignore the "Trending" or "Popular" categories on Disney+ or Amazon Prime. They don't have a distinct top 10 on Netflix that specifies what is the most viewed in the past 24 hours, so I can't say for certain what's actually the biggest thing on there at the moment.
