Yeah we've only done the 70s.

oh i thought we'd done the 90s but i guess it was just all those random best of the year lists we did for the 90s. that would be a fun one to do. i'm guessing number one would be... the matrix?

Edge of Tomorrow is a lot of fun, probably wouldn't make my list but it is a good solid movie.

@The Panda Hard to be a God (or better known as Mud and Chickens) might have made my list at 100 just because it's maybe the most bizaare, strange, off beat yet interesting film I have ever seen. @Plain Old Tele...i still don't know how to feel about the film.

Carol is one of those films that shocked me in a good way.  Looked strange in the trailers but turned out to be one of my faves of the year.

Not a big Civil War guy but I get that most loved that movie.

LOVE THE INCLUSION OF FROZEN on the list.  One of the better horror movies of the decade imo.

Apes is a good film but not top 100 imo.

Any movie that is ballsy and smart enough to have Margot Robbie in a bubble bath explaining sub prime mortgages before telling us to fuck off, deserves to be on the list.

Not sure where I'd rank the Raid, but yes, it deserves a place on this list, good job boys and girls.

Thor Rag is not quite my tempo.

Probably that or Shawshank.

Infinity War was more than solid.

I wouldn't put Endgame on the same level.

The way the story is told from Thanos' perspective was perfect.

I dunno. I guess you need to be invested in the MCU to fully appreciate Infinity War but when I watch it, it feels different from most superhero and popcorn movies.

Even from something like Endgame.

I have liked/enjoyed almost all of the MCU films. Being able to pull off a coherent story with that many characters crammed together fighting for space is an achievement.

But that doesn't mean I will give either movie a pass on their issues that hold them back. I certainly don't give Episodes 7/8 a pass on their problems, as much as I enjoy both.

I think Shawshank beats out Matrix, as Jake noted

Room has two incredible performances.  I'm not sure it's a great movie though.

1917 is a gimmick.  Not a bad film but not a good one either.

OUATIH haa grown on me a bit.

Sicario is a very good film.  Like the placing of it here.

Shape of Water is up there with Citizen Kane as films that have brainwashed all of you into thinking it is a good movie.

Catching fire.....I think that's the only one of the three I liked immensely.

That's because you don't like movies, or you have been infected with the same virus as @Plain Old Tele is inflicted with.

it's tough to crack the hundred. i do like it so it might be filler at the bottom of my list but i'd have to write it out to be sure.

Now we gotta do the 90s next.

i think we might have already done those. idk it's hard to keep track of all the lists. i know there was a 70s list a couple months ago.

I think the 50s would be fun.

Some heroic box office nerd should dig up the list so we can actually compare them.

Tree of Life is one of the most ambitious movies ever made so I see why it made the list.

Blackkklansman is too low imo.  Second best Spike Lee film imo. (Malcolm X)

Glad to see Rogue one on the list.

Zero Dark Thirty is a great movie and Chastain is terrific in it.  It's also a great fairy tale, in the same way that Cinderella is.

Glad to see the Irishman here.  Much better than Parasite imo.

The Avengers should be much higher.  One of a handful of Marvel films that I think is pretty much perfect.

Roma shouldn't be anywhere near this list.

    Fallout is good

Phoenix deserved his oscar for Joker, unfortunately for me, I didn't care for the movie all that much.

I might like the 90s over the 70s tbh, granted I've also watched way more 90s movies. A very rich decade what with the independent + foreign film boom plus a bunch of very good studio mid-budget movies and blockbusters.

    Lego and Paddington...yikes.

Leave No Trace is another one I need to see.

Favourite, another decent movie but over rated.  At least the film title is spelled correctly.

The Martian is a terrific film highlighted by Damon's performance.
