Some news on live entertainment in Sydney.

The Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) has today announced its musicians will return to the concert hall for the first time in six months to present ACO Transfigured, a limited week-long season performed in front of a live audience. The socially distanced concerts will be performed at City Recital Hall, Sydney from 5-11 September 2020.

Following the restrictions on mass gatherings and venue closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the Australian Chamber Orchestra continued to bring the music and musicians of the ACO into the homes of audiences across Australia and abroad with their first digital season Richard Tognetti retooled and found himself increasingly behind the camera, working to present an innovative and engaging digital season for audiences around the world.

Actors Hugo Weaving and Wayne Blair will lead the Sydney Theatre Company's return to the stage after the state government allocated rescue funding to help the premiere arts company stay afloat.

A socially distanced season of Angus Cerini’s Wonnangatta will open September 21, the STC joining the Belvoir Theatre in announcing a COVID-19-safe restart.

    Runner Up: Miles (The Turning)

Frozen for several months, due the pandemic, local theaters are beginning to reopen, so the list is unfrozen. Jim Carrey's Doctor Robotnik faces a stiff challenge for the top spot, from Russell Crowe's road rage motorist 😂

My cheap-o opens this Friday, and I was amused that this is their line-up...

Spidey FFH

Spidey Homecoming

Spidey Into the Spiderverse

Trolls 2 (I may actually swing in to this...maybe - it's the one VOD they booked)

Bad Boys 3

It seems like Spidey is popular where I am...

I think Deadline is jumping the gun? SF doesn’t meet the qualifications yet.

According to the California COVID website, it does:

That poor dude Variety interviewed as a top story the other day for already spending $200+ to fly out of LA to see Tenet in Austin. Hopefully he gets a full refund on everything.
