Was hoping they'd recast and get a real actor for Flash. Oh well. Sad that I have no anticipation for a Flash movie, but I guess it's the direction WB wants to go in.

There's still time.  😂  They ain't filming anytime soon...

It's opening a month earlier, lmao. WB has made a decision and seems like Miller's staying, for some reason.

Agreed. I found his hyperactive schtick really irritating, if he plays the character the same way in the standalone movie it’ll be a definite pass for me.

"The Flash" as a movie concept has been in development in one iteration or another since the 1990s..and it's had release dates before...  Sure, the fact that Warners pushed Miller into a TV show cameo says something about their intentions...

But my gut feeling says: I'll believe it when I see it.  And if it stars this dude...yeah, I'll probably pass.

Somewhere in Vancouver right now, Grant Gustin is having a laugh...

Since WB is apparently still going to push ahead with this movie, the one thing I will ask is that can we please not do Flashpoint? There are other Flash stories.

Andy Muchietti apparently said that this film will have a different version of Flashpoint

They have made their decision. You can pass freely now.

All this stems from a 6 second context free video which did not even lead to a police complaint. If there was a complaint, maybe this would be something WB would think of, but in this case it's pretty clear that Ezra is staying on.

Also as Moderation, if your only contribution to this thread going forward unless things change is going to be discussing a 6 second video which we don't have any before or after context for, your posts will not stay in the thread and you will be given warnings.

The only time we will allow it will be if there's additional evidence or any new updates.

To put the subject back squarely on the project itself, does anyone buy those rumors about how this movie is supposed to be used as an excuse to reboot the DCEU, including it being the explanation for the new Batman? I don’t personally buy that, but I guess it would be kind of interesting. Still, if that’s what they’re planning, it wouldn’t make any sense to release the Matt Reeves Batman movie before this.

I buy it. I can see them do one Batman film before it just to introduce the character before the universes merge together and the 2nd film could involve some references to the Flashpoint movie like Spider-Man FFH had references to the snap.

Yeah, i can see that happening. Will it happen? I don't know. But as a possibility, sure.

nah. I could have seen that happening maybe back around 2017 when an MCU-esque DC Universe still seemed like a salvageable concept but there's no real point now.

I think you're misinterpreting my recent comments.  My feelings and skepticism (and morbid interest) about this project stem from a long history of its "development hell" that existed way before the current attached star was even involved.  And my ambivalence about the star also existed long prior to any recent incident he was involved in.  In fact, that didn't really change my mind in this matter at all.

And my skepticism about a release date change and/or production coming soon comes from the fact that the *entire industry* is shut down due to the virus -- nothing will be filming, period, for some time.

So I'm not really interested in discussing the video at all, and my apologies if any of my recent comments were interpreted that way.

Based on the date, my guess is that Fantastic Beasts 3 won't be filming asap when we get back. Ezra moves directly to this.

That or either his role will be reduced in FB3 or they'll just film all the scenes he's not required to be in first.

Nope. It goes against WB's "standalone" approach and Reeves' plan for an unconstrained Batman

Flash coming out after just cements the fact that no such plans are in the cards
