So, I posted this poll on Telegram a little while ago but I thought it’d be fun to open it up for the whole forum. Pick whichever movie you think TENET will out-open, and then put your specific prediction in a post.

Note: yes, there are early screenings and it’s got a mid-week start. The number we’re going to use is whatever/however WB chooses to announce the FSS 3-day weekend.

Yeah I estimated it around that, but seems like $3mn from $53.6mn reported by WB, because overseas numbers I am getting is $50.5mn Approx.

 

Anyways, $3mn is 5 days, with weekend alone around $2.3-2.4mn Approx will mean an opening weekend of $30mn Approx in North America but since West Cost and NY is closed, that's 25% box office not coming, leaving just 23mn. Also sneaks will burn some demand, so Under $22mn is almost certain.

How many theaters is this gonna be opening in? Is there a known figure or a rough estimated range? New Mutants was in 2,400, are more expected to open for Tenet?

 

I am not too familiar with current status of US cinemas.

24m. Should open higher then most other movies released theatrically during the pandemic, but still it's a bit of a wildcard of how well it'll do.
