Denmark - $9.77M (557K admits)

Norway - $9M (555K admits)

Finland - $3.78M (252K admits)

Iceland - $760K (65K admits)

 

Total - $36.96M (2.26M admits)

 

Probably has another 50-60K admits left. $37.75M final.

I don't know if Matrix actually opened in Denmark when it was scheduled for, but these were the sales at T-8 (8 days before Wed).  

 

At the same point in time, here are Morbius sales in Denmark

Sat - 44 (20)
Sun - 35 (20)

Total - 762 (112)

 

Most theaters only have a Wed show scheduled so far, but a few have full weekend shows up already.

  • 5 New Titles opened this Week.
  • The Batman seems to be dropping alright, not bad not great. It will overtake The Batman Begins (184k Admits) this week itself and it will also comfortably surpass -  Spiderman: Homecoming (192k Admits)~ 
  • Uncharted seems on the track of reaching 150k Admits, which is great for a Game based movie. It has already surpassed Rampage's 40k, Tomb Raider's 91k, Sonic's 101.2k and Warcraft's 104k. It's next target's are close and it will soon overtake - Prince of Persia's 134k and Pokemon's DP's 141.1k~
  • Sing 2 will cross It's prequel Sing's (224,752 Admits) this week. It is having a great run.

Gross or Admissions? Gross is kind of invalid because prices in Local currency differ a lot. Counting Admissions is very much possible. Also, there are some Local movies that made twice of Titanic, so if we only talk about HLW movies, the list can be made easily:

  • Titanic is most attended HLW movie with 6.3m Attendees.
  • The Jungle Book (1968) takes 2nd Spot with 5.9m Attendees
  • LOTR 1 - 5.08m
  • LOTR 3 - 4.75m
  • LOTR 2 - 4.6m
  • Sound of Music - 4.1m 
  • The Lion King (1994) - 4.05m
  • Avatar - 3.8m
  • E.T - 3.4m
  • Skyfall - 3.3m
  • Spectre - 3.2m
  • Harry Potter 1 - 3.1m

I don't think counting old movie is fair to compare modern movie,the Admission market of Nordic Region down a lot of size when Television and video game came out,Movie is not the only way to entertain.

Goldfinger - Denmark - 239k + Norway - 221k +  Sweden -  1.386m + Finland -  181k

Thunderball - Denmark -251k + Norway -168k +  Sweden -  1.924m + Finland - 243.2k

So, Yeah None of 'em will enter top 10 in Nordics. GWTW was seen by 400k people in Sweden on it's initial release but it has released few more times, so there is no concrete data for it, but it is supposed to be near 1.5-1.8m mark and that will still not put it above 3m total admissions. 

 

 

Yes, It's not fair comparison, but then you can make a list of Before 2000s and After 2000s.

 

Before 2000s  Titanic > The Jungle Book > Sound of Music > The Lion King > E.T.

 

After 2000s LOTR 1 > LOTR 3 > LOTR 2 > Avatar > Skyfall > Spectre > Harry Potter 1

@Noctis The FB1 had 1.3m attendance which is neither bad nor very good compared to previous HP movies in Nordics and FB2 had 1.18m overall~ Mads Mikkelsen is from Denmark, which is a major contributor in both of the last two films. I don't really track 'presales' but from the buzz around, I think it will be difficult for FB3 to breach 1m+ attendance. Let's hope the movie surprises and Mad Mikkelsen's popularity hits it off here.

How is TB in comparison to other bat related movies for Finland and Iceland ?

In Finland, Fantastic Beast 3 has opened to a very healthy number of 40k Admission, which is higher than BATMAN 's 38k and it's highest for year 2022.  FB3's OW is little lower than  FB2's 42k and FB1's 48k ~
