The Lost City | AKA, Not Romancing The Stone, Honestly We Swear | March 25, 2022 | Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum | Hits Paramount+ May 10!

Still 100% after 19 reviews, all pretty convinced of great chemistry between the 2 leads.

Kind of reminds me of "The Proposal".

Sandra Bullock is like a multifunction tool. She is able to connect with any other person on screen, it's just amazing.

It was a long wait for a movie like this. Lower scale was buried on Netflix in the last Couple of years. MAy this be the comeback of romantic comedy in theaters with a huge $100m-Result.

Reviews seems to have lost a bit of their luster, will probably end in the 60's on RT, for something that maintained 100% for a couple of days, that's gotta be disappointing

Thought that was a trick only supers or fandom driven blockbusters could pull, surprised to learn studios also have "lists" of "reviewers" that are expected to respond well to rom-coms

Thought this was quite bad (which is a statement applicable to most Bullock films) but the Pitt and Tatum scene was very fun. Walk-ups were strong at my showing. If it hits 30m+, nice little streak for Paramount--Scream, Jackass. And Top Gun is around the corner.

Will typing "Brad Pitt being iconic in the lost city" in the youtube search bar 45 days from now be enough to squeeze all of the quality out of this flick or does the scene require more context that what can be picked up from the trailers?

That's just festival hype. The excitement of seeing a shiny, new movie at a big movie festival, one that is fairly exclusive, even for big critics, is going to cause aggregate inflation. Even in more prestigious places like TIFF, this kind of stuff happens on occasion.
